An earth Caster, she trades in furs and feathers, using her casting to track animals more efficiently than her competitors.

A fire Caster, she sells a variety of fabrics and thread. She carries an absurd amount of fabric on her person, preferring to have samples close at hand to tempt potential buyers.

Species Info

Casters are a magic based society, descended from dragons. Along with inheriting dragon like characteristics, each Caster is born with a magical affinity, although their skill and power varies. The more powerful the magic, the more highly regarded the Caster. The upper classes often arrange matches to increase the magic in their bloodlines, and send their children to prestigious schools to maximise their potential. The lower classes are less fortunate, often their abilities remain weak and untrained. Basic magic classes are compulsory, along with the usual mathematics and geography etc. These lessons usually only cover the basics of controlling magical outbursts, making it difficult for the lower classes to rise above their bracket. However, the less powerful casters have a lot more freedom, they can choose whatever profession they want, be it a baker, artist or blacksmith. Those with stronger elemental powers are expected to find a related job, a fire elemental may choose to become a soldier, or a spirit elemental a healer. Those born without magic are commonly ostracised, and dubbed Castouts.
