Kingdom Hearts is weird. My fondness for it isn't comparable to that of all the brave souls who stuck with it though all the handheld and mobile games, but I must admit that when it comes to concept, ideas, and visuals, it is truly a special and unique series. And now that the first saga is FINALLY over, the new characters and plot points brought to the forefront are quite interesting indeed.

Some years ago, I watched the short movie "Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover" without ever being all that familiar with the setting of the game it's based upon, being it the mobile one, of all things... and I unironically loved it to bits. The characters were new and adorable, the setting was GORGEOUS (I absolutely love KH's original worlds like Traverse Town, Hollow Bastion and so on, but Daybreak Town is absolutely my favourite!) and it somehow re-captured the fairytale-like qualities of the very first installment, or at least that's the impression it gave me. The mysticism and mystery were back, and so were charming characters with interesting things to say, especially the Master himself. Faceless throughout the entire movie, he stole the show and my heart <3 ... no pun intended!

Please Nomura, don't mess this up!
