I really wanted to recreate a classic piece of Naoko Takeuchi's art with Disney characters. The nine Sailor princesses in narrow profiles ([link]) is probably one of the better known of her pieces and in my opinion one of the most beautiful, so I chose it.

I know a lot of better-known artists have recreated this picture before (*mimi-na's rendering of Belle is the first that comes to mind), but I really wanted to try my hand at it. And as far as I know, no one has recreated this picture with Disney princesses in their canon princess dresses.

Anyway! I think it's cute and a good break from doing less colorful character designs. I may do another one, we'll see!

I had mentioned this in passing, but just to make it clear I am referencing each princess's pose from a piece of official Disney art, to get the personality of each princess. Snow White's pose can be found here -- > [link] !
