My Bio

Hey there everyone, I’m Matt in the hat, (because I’m usually always wearing a hat). I’ve loved to draw ever since probably kindergarten. I’m a visual development major at the Academy of Art University specializing in concept art. My usual art is more traditional based with charcoal and acrylic paint on canvas, wood panel, or paper, but I’m wanting to learn the digital realm as well. Honestly one of my goals is to work with disney but designing the layouts and themed rides, the way they make you feel like your in another world, creating that atmosphere is what really appeals to me. I usually sign my work as “Shark” it’s a nickname given to me from my grandfather, he gave all of his kids and grandkids different nicknames, I wear mine proudly 😁

I do utilize AI generated photos, through the DreamUp, however it's to get some ideas and thoughts out. Using it to bring the created worlds in my head to life. From there, I can fine tune these ideas into my own created artwork pieces. That will come in time, once I get my traditional artwork situated with prints and stickers, I'll turn to a program, not sure if i'll use photoshop or another one to fine tune these ideas from the AI. Just wanted to get that out.

Alright 2024!!! I'm trying to revamp this page of mine, ive been trying to post more consistantly with new material. Im trying to stick with a drawing everyday just a 20 minute sketch sometime some are a bit longer, but just to stick with it and improve my skills.

Hey everyone, So I haven't been on DA for have been trying to keep up with my art assignments and I have been trying to improve on my paintings. I have a couple of artworks to post, I just have to try to take a decent picture of it. hopefully tomorrow. I think that's it for now...
