This was honestly such a scary piece for me haha. A few years ago I painted Raven, and I was so unhappy with how it turned out. I could see that my skillset before hadn't reached a level where I felt happy with myself and for me, of course being my own worst critic, I was so distraught about it and I felt so disappointed in myself.

Since then I pretty much avoided Raven because I was terrified of her. For such a simple design she has everything that I struggled with: a draping cape, a black pvc bodysuit, quite a specific deadly ghost like skin tone with a hint of purple? A 3d belt and angled brooch. I was TERRIFIED to redo her because I was concerned that my skillset might not have increased enough and I would again be left with a Raven that I was unhappy with. HOWEVER I'm so happy this is not the case! I'm really overjoyed with the difference, to see how this does show extreme improvement. I invested in a better wig, I have spent a lot of time learning and practising the body suit, and I understand shading and fabric folds now.

If anything, I hope this shows that you just have to keep practising, and you just have to keep pushing. <3
