Little Kairy by mdchan on DeviantArt (original) (raw)

Slowly learning this other drawing app for the tablet (Huion Sketch) now that the other two are unusable.

So far, I'm really liking it; the only complaint I have is that I can't adjust the colors or anything else on a layer (welp, I can adjust the opacity as well as the blending mode, but not things like hue/saturation and whatnot). Or, if there is a way to do so, I haven't found it. Still, it's a rather small complaint to have overall (that and the weird lines the smudge tool sometimes makes...and that if it has a ruler tool, I haven't found it).

The colors are true to the screen and show up the same both on the tablet and on my PC (something Autodesk Sketchbook had a big problem with, as the colors were a lot more vibrant on the tablet than on the PC). I have access to plenty of brushes (though I only use about five or so of them regularly) without having to watch any ads.

While there are a few minuses with this program, I'm finding it to be overall better than both Autodesk and Ibis.

...fingers crossed that Huion doesn't bork up their app like the other two did, because I'm finally starting to get the hang of it (I think).

I don't post much original stuff here anymore, but Kairy (and his friends) are an exception since I had actually gone through, and completed, the legal process of copyrighting them (which ain't cheap).

Plus, I feel this came out rather well. I'm trying to draw more dynamic poses because welp...it's something I'm terrible at.
