I’ve been tempted to contribute to the fan community after seeing different reinterpretations of Pokemon in realistic, traditional sumi-e, and otherworldly manners, and although Lucario was never my favorite, I always liked his Anubis-like head, so I redrew him to take on the form (or at least the head) of Anubis, as well as minor elements from kangaroos.

Roughly 12 hours total drawing and coloring time including errors line/color clean-up. Combination of hand-drawn line art and colored in Photoshop, at an actual print resolution of 10" × 8".
