Personality:
A power-driven and confident male, Cronan is somewhat unique against other Giza males in the fact that he shows ambition and a subtle cockiness. Although his mouth has earned him a few scars from Giza females reminding him of his place, Cronan aims to be the best he can be and earn the highest rank he can -- for a male, at least. Among other males he is authoritative and aggressive, not hesitating to assert dominance and certainly taking advantage of any weaker or younger cats. Among females he tends to change quite a bit, showing a more charming side, though still often oozing with misplaced confidence. He enjoys being fought over by females, having sired two litters thus far but always aiming to catch the eye of a higher ranking female. Suave, cunning, and ambitious, this male is not about to bow down to anyone he doesn't have to.
Recently he has shown much more vicious tendencies as he climbs the Giza ladder, turning far more sadistic and bloodthirsty than in his previous years. In a fight he is ruthless and has become a male who enjoys dominance and torture. He has a massive cruel streak when it comes to dealing with slaves, seeing as they are the only group lower than the Giza males.
In his later years, Cronan is becoming increasingly unstable and paranoid. Assuming other males are after his position and rank, already feeling like he has been somewhat demoted with the removal of the Warlord rank and instead becoming a Clawmaster -- though he is of course grateful to be the Clawmaster of the First House -- he is very protective of the position he is in. Any male who begins to rise in the ranks concerns him and becomes an immediate rival and enemy.
Appearance:
Although slim in his build, Cronan is still rippled with muscles from years of training in the Giza army. He prides himself in being as fit as he can be, not often enjoying a lazy moment for relaxation. Perhaps not the "ideal" Giza cat he is still somewhat handsome, not black as night like some might prefer but still bearing a deep chocolate pelt riddled with the wide, faded spots of a clouded leopard. His mane is a darker brown, trailing down the sides of his neck to wrap around at his throat, encasing his neck. If there is something he is most proud of, it is of course his crimson eyes that bear a sign of favor from their Goddess. Years of training have left his coat scarred, an ear torn and riddled with bite and claw marks along his shoulders, back, face, and thigh, but he carries every one proudly as a sign of the battles he has survived and the enemies he has conquered.
History: Born to an assassin and a soldier Cronan was instantly set in a path towards army life and training as a soldier. The second-born cub to his parents first litter he was raised alongside his slightly elder brother, Donnan. Although Donnan was slightly darker than he was, his red eyes won him the favor of their parents and despite the fact that he was a male he was well loved and brought up to the best of their abilities. His brother was trained as a soldier as well but lacked the confidence Cronan had instilled from his parents praise and affections. He quickly showed determination, confidence, and authority over fellow males and set his sights on a high position: he yearned to earn the title of Warlord some day. After all, what else does a Giza male have to do but dream of a position that might allow him an easier life and the possibility to bed the Matron Mother herself? He trained hard, promoted to the rank of Soldier when he turned 5 alongside his brother, and did his best to prove himself worthy. Once he turned 7 he decided to aim for the position of Sentinel, which allowed him some amount of freedom and adventure as he guarded the caves and captured runaway slaves, though it unfortunately required less battles and gave him fewer opportunities to show off his strength and prowess as a warrior. Now that he is a mature adult he plans to do whatever it takes to get himself the coveted rank of Lieutenant, despite the fact that males rarely make such high ranks. He knows it might be a long shot, but is also aware that being a Lieutenant would give him more opportunities to prove himself to the Matron Mother, be traded to her own house, and become the future Giza Warlord.
*At the age of 12 Cronan hears rumors about the weakness of the current Warlord. Thirsty to prove himself worthy of the title he travels to Zitar lands and demands a challenge. His challenge is approved by Matron Mother Nazira and during the fight, Cronan is ruthless -- so much so that his bloodlust nearly concerns the royal family. They disappear for quite some time to discuss his victory over the current Warlord and Cronan is summoned hours later with impressive news; he is to be the new Warlord of the Giza House.

Following the Giza War, Cronan was somewhat renowned for his success as Warlord. He had managed to keep the position for several years now, and clearly had proven his worth as Giza triumphed over the Mitu and Kifani, losing several of their own in the war but coming out undeniable victors. Following the war, when several Houses began to discuss mutiny against Matron Mother Sinafay and whispered their uncertainty and unhappiness regarding her reign and how she had handled the aftermath of the Black War, House Vrinn was demolished in the massacre that ensued. Cronan, having nothing but loyalty for Giza as a whole and little ties to his own House, instead sided with House Zitar during the massacre -- as any logically thinking cat would -- and helped to abolish not only several of the other Houses, but even some of his own kin who fought against them.
Cronan was granted a position as Clawmaster in House Zitar after proving his worth as Warlord, not only during the War but also in the Giza events that followed. His mental state has gone slightly downhill with his power-hungry craze, becoming more prone to violent outbursts in training and growing somewhat paranoid that, due to his age, other males are 'out to get him'. He trusts no one and is quick to presume another cat is plotting against him, much to the dismay of many soldiers he trains, for he no longer hesitates to kill "unworthy recruits".
