Although the idea of a blood trail in the snow is not a new concept, you have managed to portray the sense of curiosity and impending doom that makes the first impression of this artwork quite significant.

The contrast between the snow against the tree trunks and the sky is quite well balanced. The weighting of the images in this artwork is quite good and you don't feel a sense of the image being off-balanced.

However, technique wise, I think that you may have overused the blurring and smudging effects. The roots of the trees are well positioned and give off a realistic impression but the smudging of the tips ruin it a little. Also the blurring and the smudging of the blood is unrealistic and could be done better with just a bit of fading.

Overall it is a good piece of artwork and your vision is very clear but just take care with some of the minor details that may distract the viewers.
