As far as Reboots go, The Legend of Spyro was one of the better ones
(certainly better than the Skylanders version of Spyro the Dragon.)

There are tons of LoS OC's, but I feel I nailed this one.

'When Malefore rose to power, He announced his conquest of the world when he all but wiped out the Wind Dragon race, Including it's guardian, 'Aeros'.

Only one Wind Dragon remained..who was none other than Cynder, the "dragling" that Malefore's followers took as an egg, and corrupted with dark magic.

After Malefore's defeat, and Cynder's cleansing of his corruption. Spyro and Cynder eventually sired a cluster of eggs. a Majority of which were Wind Dragons.

The first was Skyla, who after studying the ways of the Wind Dragons, would become the new Wind Guardian, and lead the new generation of Wind Dragons.'

OKAY, so I pretty much took a page out of Avatar with this one.
But, seriously. In the trilogy, I saw guardian dragons of every element EXCEPT Air/Wind.

And, as Cynder was the only one who could use this ability
(which was the only actual element she could use, as "Darkness, Poison, and Fear" doesn't count.)
I had to presume that Malefore killed off all the Wind Dragons like Fire Lord Sozin did all the Air Nomads..

..Making Cynder pretty much "The Last Airbender" in that regard.

I don't care if it isn't THAT original. I like it, and it kinda makes sense.
