Wow, I love the way you've captured both the style & his expression so well that it even makes me want to smile as well. Not so much a huge fan on Full Metal Alchemist, but I still admired some of its characters (in terms of personality & design) as well I was able to meet the director for the anime at an anime convention twice few years back (good memories!). :)
