No, I am NOT ashamed of hating Toby's Discovery by MillieFan92 on DeviantArt (original) (raw)

I still consider Toby's Discovery to be one of the worst episodes of the Classic Series era of Thomas, as well as one of the most overrated episodes in the whole series. It's main problem is Toby. I believe that this episode was the beginning of his wimpy side. Now, I can give his character in Toby and the Flood a pass because worrying about people when there's bad weather is understandable. But being afraid of ghost despite being wise enough to know that they don't exist? Sorry, but I just can't give that a pass. And then there's Bertram. He only appeared in this episode and basically did nothing. Is this seriously a character that so many fans love?

I think it would've been a lot better if Percy was the main character, and the story was split into two parts (part one focusing on the discovery of the castle and the mine, and part two focusing on the Old Warrior).

Episodes like this are why I will never think Season 5 of Thomas is one of the best.

If you like this episode, that's fine, but no rude comments please.
