My username now has a face! I'd like to introduce my character, Ivy (the dark blue-grey she-cat with bright blue spots). The cat she is standing over is her mother, Smudgin.
When Ivy was a kit, an evil spirit took refuge in Ivy's body. Generally, Ivy can keep the spirit under control, as it is trying to regain it's lost power by dwelling inside a mortal. But when Ivy looks at her reflection, it releases the spirit. Ivy's eyes go from green to silver, and she becomes very aggressive. This possessed Ivy is referred to as Mirrored-Ivy! (yes, I am the dark evil spirit that murders for fun.)
In this particular scene, Ivy was scared that she might have killed Smudgin. The spirit lied to Ivy, saying that it was quite fun watching Smudgin die beneath their claws. So Ivy was absolutely relieved to find her mother alive.

As for the title, it comes from Fight Song, which helped inspire this acceptable picture.
