Very good photo.

We had mason bees, smaller cousins of the carpenter bee where I used to live. Kind of miss them. In our old home in Louisiana, they liked making holes in the back patio beams, so we had to screen it in (nice side effect: kept mosquitoes out as well) and I set up some mason bee homes to replace getting rid of their old spot. Had a home veggie garden, so definitely wanted to encourage bees.
