My favorite character in Aladdin. :aww:

I had quite the crush on this guy back in the day. It was often the sidekicks that got my attention, especially those of villains. Bartok, Mr. Smee, Iago…. They all seemed like very misunderstood characters with a kind heart underneath the surface, and it was strange to me that they would end up with such evil people. Even Iago, who was pretty unrelenting in the beginning, went through quite the turn-around in the second and third installments. Who knows why they joined forces with really cruel individuals. Naivety, perhaps? Whatever the case, I always had a soft spot for guys like this, partially because I empathized with them in some way, with the perspective that all they really needed was some compassion, understanding, comfort, and a hug, and Iago was no exception.
