The theme I picked was "First Rain" wwww!!;;
Here's Funnifox's Arai Soren & my bby Yonah (Tanaka)!
---Here's the

essay scenario.

The sky was gloomy. Angry clouds churned above with only slivers of light shining through the gray. Yonah reached her hand out from under the school’s awning and only withdrew her hand after it was splattered with raindrops. Shaking off the water, she sighed. She had previously brought an umbrella to school but someone had “conveniently” claimed it as theirs after the calm, sunny weather had been replaced by foreboding, harsh rain showers. It had been a month since she transferred into this school, a month since she first started going to school actually. Before this, all her knowledge of school life and friends came from the stories she’d heard, movies and manga. Needless to say her experience at school starkly contrasted what she expected. No, friends did not gather after school to mingle and gossip at ramen shops or cafes. Friends did not go to KTV or visit cute stationary stores together. In fact, while she got along fairly well with her classmates, school was largely a monotonous bore for her.

The rain continued to come down mercilessly and rather than standing around idle and praying the rain away, Yonah decided that she might as well just brave the rain and trudge her way back home, soaking wet and all. The instant she stepped out from under the awning, she felt the uncomfortable feeling of water seeping into her loafers and of her hair and clothes clinging to her skin. Distasteful, she thought as she made her way off campus.

“Tanaka-san!” A voice called for her as wet footsteps gained on her.

As she turned, she felt the touch of fabric and looked up. It was Arai-sensei, slightly out of breath, one hand pitching an umbrella over her head and the other pressing a handkerchief to her cheek. While she had not spoken a single word to him nor been in his class, many of her female peers gushed about how handsome and perfect he was and how he would be the ideal man. To her, while she could not deny that he had fine and desired features, he had always been a flashy teacher that she avoided him as those types of things were troublesome.

“Good afternoon, going home?” He smiled cheerily and offered her the handkerchief which she took thankfully.

“Good afternoon sensei, thank you for your hard work.” She said with a slight bow. “But you don’t have to walk me.” She stated flatly. In fact I would prefer if you didn’t. It would be a hassle if someone saw us.

“I can’t let my cute student get sick, what kind of teacher would I be.” He feigned mock-horror before reverting back to his casual grin and continued to match her stride walking beside her. She looked around anxiously, it was as if she could feel leering eyes on them. Almost as if he could sense her discomfort he said, “Don’t worry, I’ll only walk to the train station, there’s nothing for people to talk about. Besides it’s not like we’re walking arm and arm or anything….unless you want to?” He joked, Yonah could see the devilish sparkle in his eyes and she narrowed her own in response.

They made negligible small talk as they walked side by side but by the time they reached the station, Yonah was almost disappointed. “Be careful on the rest of your way home, Tanaka-san.” Arai sensei chimed, as he smoothly pressing the umbrella into her hand before stepping out back into the rain. It was then that Yonah realized that sensei’s right shoulder was already soaked…he had purposely sheltered her from the rain at his own expense. Before Yonah could argue or give him back the umbrella he gave her one last smile before running back towards the school, using his hand to shield the rain from his eyes. Yonah watched his receding figure until she couldn’t see it anymore before she turned and got on the train. As she sat down and stared out into the blurred city terrain, one sole thought consumed her almost entirely.

Perhaps school would have been better had she known Arai-sensei.
