Excuse me, may I join in please? I need to add MLP crossover arts in this group, it's really important!

As far as I know you can join. I would guess that crossover art would be fine as long as it in some way involves that MLP.

I'm not sure, but I do believe you have to talk to the group's founder in order to do that.

Also I've heard something is happening to all of the groups on DA as well.
