The wing was howling outside but a warm comforting heat was coming from the fireplace, lighting up the whole room.
"You're doing great kiddo" Geir was quietly sitting on a little blanket by the fire, Bonnibel tending to her wounds. "I don't think I've got much more to teach you now"
"Shush" the pink vayron replied "There's still a lot for me to learn. And I wish you'd stop talking, you keep moving around as you do"

The afternoon hunt had taken a bad turn of event when the two vayrons had been taken in an snowslide while running after a wild apex. The wave of snow had pushed them on bunch of rocks fallen from a near-by cliff, cutting throw Geir's back. Fortunately both had managed to emerge from the snow and the bubblegum vayron had carried her teacher home safely to treat her wounds.

It felt weird to Bonnie to be caring for Geir this way. She had known her for years, she was like an aunt to her, raising her after her mother died when she was a child, she taught her to hunt, cook... and shared with her all the medical knowledge she had. But now was the time for Bonnie to give back in return of all these years of education. It wasn't much, the cut was a bit deep but pretty clean and with a couple of stitches and a good bandage she would be just fine in a couple of weeks. But it meant a lot. For Bonnie, to show what she was capable of, for Geir to see her legacy in Bonnie's work.

It didn't took too long for Bonnibel to finish her work and send Geir to rest. This night, Bonnie fell asleep by the fireplace, surrounded by some herbs and ointment she was preparing, with a faint smile on her face.
"I think I can help now, not just Geir, I know I need to help the ones than needs it most" were the last thoughts that went through her head before she drifted off.
