Life is rough on Ducklings - those living in the absolute wild (different kinds of predatory risks) and those living in zoos (risks of bad food). However, the Mama of these Duckling took living in a zoo to the next level - in and around the Lion habitat!

They did survive from the morning till the zoo closed at least...

Species: Mallard or Wild Duck (Wilde eend)

Latin name: Anas Platyrhynchos

Originates from the temperate and subtropical Americas, Europe, Asia and North Africa, and has been introduced to New Zealand and Australia.

Current status: Least Concern
