The best part about watching animals together with their keepers, are the stories they can tell about the little quirks you watch happening.
This is Caruso, a very handsome (and big!) Siberian Tiger. He was born in a German zoo, but ended up in a circus shortly after birth where he was then raised by hand. He's quite dependent on people, and came to the shelter when he was only 2 years old.
He's got a great bond with his keepers, and chuffs at them in greeting.
He showed himself in all hos glory - and his quirks - when he laid down in his pool and stretched out so his front paws weren't in the water. His keepers told us he ALWAYS managed to keep his front paws out of the water, and didn't like getting them wet He rested his head on his paws, showing those stunning eyes through the weeds
