These Birds actually occur in the wild in our own country, but it's getting more and more common to exhibit native animals in zoos - they're either bred by zoos, or rescues who are deemed unreleasable.

Latin name: Bubulcus Ibis

Originates from the tropics, sub-tropcis and warm-temperate zones.

Current status: Least Concern
