Of course, with Lions it is easy to tell apart female and male. But if there's a male and female Tiger, sometimes it can be a lot easier to do so with them as well. I can think of a few zoos in which I know there are a male and female, and just be looking at the shape and size of the face you know that's the female, and that's the male. The females are rounder and smaller, the males tend to be bigger and broader with more cheek fluff.

That being said, I hope that without seeing the male too, you see as well as I do that we're looking at a female :)

Species: Bengal Tiger (Bengaalse of koningstijger)

Latin name: Panthera Tigris Tigris

Originates from regions in India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan.

Current status: Endangered
