My DeviantART Story by Mouselemur on DeviantArt (original) (raw)

It all started a few days short of 3 years ago - when the Mouselemur had joined DeviantART to broadcast our then, very much hobbyist zoo photos. Wanting to very much be a part of it, I invited myself along for the ride.

We thought our photos were amazing - not in quality, but because we loved animals and visiting zoos. How could we not share? Of course, we didn't realize exactly what we looked like, while taking photos...

Don't Let This Happen To You by Vermontster

We didn't really estimate the number of zoo photographers on DeviantART - never mind that it's actually a concept. If we wanted to be a part of that community, we'd have to work on our technique and upgrade our cameras.

The idea is to morph into something bigger - something better.

The person you've admired - of whom you've dreamed of being just like.

One of the most important lessons we've learned these past few years that we've been a part of the DA community is this:

Growth is invaluable.

Oh you by woxys fox or dog? by morho

It's easy to get discouraged and blinded by the sheer beauty.

Something that could help you not to lose sight of your passion and hobby, is to look for support in the community. If you're willing to invest time and effort, every party involved will be able to help the other out.
