Let's make some waves! by Mr-Pink-Rose on DeviantArt (original) (raw)

Check out Urchin and Rainbow's newest friend! This is no ordinary little girl they met in the ocean. Her name is Madeline Grace Summers, a.k.a. "Sirena". She's the youngest student at "Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters", and the little sister of Scott "Cyclops" Summers. Her special powers are connected to her favorite place in the world: the ocean. She's able to breathe underwater, and can also manipulate the water to do her bidding, and communicate with the fishes as well. (Think of "Avatar: the Last Airbender", "H2O: Just Add Water", and "Aquaman" combined.) But if that wasn't astonishing enough for the two little mer-toddlers, but they were more impressed when they saw her transform from human to mermaid. She explained that it was due to a magic pearl necklace she wears. Urchin and Rainbow asked Madeline to show them some more of her water-bending powers. "How would you two like to become flying fishes?" she asked them. "YEEEEAHHHH!!!" they shouted enthusiastically. So the three of them swam to the surface, where Madeline told the little twosome "Okay, hang on tight" as she stretched out her arms. Suddenly a huge wave formed beneath them, and they rode it like surfers. Then Madeline formed various water spouts which launched the trio into the air and back into the water. Finally, with one big water spout, they all came together in a warm embrace, and sank to the bottom giddy with laughter. "That was fun!" exclaimed Urchin. "Can we do it again?" asked Rainbow. "Well, I'm afraid I have to go back to my school," confessed Madeline, "but I promise I'll come back and play with you some more." And with one final fond embrace, she swam back up to the surface waving goodbye. "Boy, have I got stories to tell the Professor and the others," she thought, "and I'm sure they'll believe me."

This answer to JAVIERROMAN03's "Mermay Challenge" again uses a prompt from his list. Urchin and Rainbow are my OCs. Madeline is an OC Jrechani18 created for X-Men: Evolution. That's right, she's a mutant like the X-Men, taught by Professor Charles Xavier to use her powers for the good of humankind...although occasionally she's likely to use them just for fun. Hope she likes this!

X-Men: Evolution belongs to Marvel Comics.
