Una Folle Mostruosita di Artropodi by musselus on DeviantArt (original) (raw)

Literally “an insane arthropod monstrosity” in Italian. And no, this creature is definitely not a mutant. All creatures of this species are naturally born like this, BTW, this is the second piece of work in my ‘Natural Insanities’ series of Deviations (the first piece being La Creatura All’ombra). Now, don’t let the slightly emo looks of this eight-eyed creature fool you, because it sure as heck is INTIMIDATING. I say “intimidating” but really this creature is only intimidating when you look at it for the first time. The creature is defensive of its offspring, and only attacks when it’s threatened by outsiders. It uses it’s claws to hunt down prey, but it sometimes it’s orange tentacle as a backup weapon whenever it’s claws are tired from stress. However, the tentacle is mostly used for caressing, feeding, and treating the creature’s offspring with TLC (tender loving care) [Keep in mind that all creatures within this species are genderless]. These creatures are also relatively enormous in size, as their heights can vary from 2.7m to 3.3m. They are also quite territorial and are generally hostile within their own species. Sometimes, these hostilities become so heated that two or more of these creatures get into deadly brawls with each other. Usually in the end of these brawls, only one creature remains alive.
