Cuando Bambi alcanzó la mayoría de edad para poder retar a su papá a una pelea, éste gustoso fue con él y le pidió cordialmente pelear contra él, para conseguir ser el nuevo príncipe el bosque. El padre de Bambi, con gusto aceptó el reto. Ambos caminaron juntos hasta la pradera donde darían el gran espectáculo, donde el ganador sería el nuevo príncipe.

Ambos llegaron a la pradera tranquilamente, conversando entre ellos, a lo que todos los ciervos del lugar rápidamente dirigieron su atención a ellos, pues sabían que era hora de la gran pelea entre el príncipe y su hijo.

El gran príncipe: ¿Estas listo para nuestra pelea hijo?
Bambi: Finalmente lo estoy padre, espero no decepcionarte.
El gran príncipe: Lo sé hijo, pero recuerda que daré todo mie esfuerzo. Si por alguna razón no ganas, puedes volver a retarme la próxima primavera.
Bambi: Descuida papá, la pelea terminará conmigo siendo el nuevo príncipe del bosque.
El gran príncipe: Así se habla hijo!

When Bambi came of age to challenge his father to a fight, he gladly went with him and cordially asked him to fight, to be the new prince of the forest. Bambi's father gladly accepted the challenge. They both walked together to the meadow where they would give the great show, where the winner would be the new prince.

Both came to the meadow quietly, talking among themselves, to which all the deer in the place quickly turned their attention to them, because they knew that it was time for the great fight between the prince and his son.

The great prince: Ready for our fight son?
Bambi: finally I am dad, I hope I don't disappoint you.
The great prince: I know son, but remember that I will give all my effort. If for some reason you don't win, you can challenge me again next spring.
Bambi: Don't worry dad, the fight will end with me being the new prince of the forest.
The great prince: That's it son!
