same story as before:

He fell asleep in zone 3 and woke up with his ears and right eye gone as well as crudely stitched up and a bag of sugar which he now wares around his neck

after that he went into hiding, in fear Enoch would Burn him into Sugar.

During the Batter's expedition in zone 3 he used the panic to his advantage and fled to zone 0

on his way there he discovered his own add-on which he named 'XI' Ξ (his scarf)

after many attempts Pablo finally got the Elsen to start talking again and he decided to call him Bai since he had no other name

(I always kinda imagined the Batter having a sort of mental link with his add-ons, so i guess im safe to say XI lets Bai hear through him/her/it, so Bai isn't entirely deaf, he's just useless without XI)
