Stanley Moves On

A sequel to this story. It had been a week since the death of Peter Dobbs, Stanley was sitting in the sheds thinking of how he could of done more to warn him. Just then, the Fat Controller arrived. "Good morning, Stanley." he said. "How are you feeling?" A bit better, sir. Thank you." replied Stanley. "Something made me wish I could've done more to warn Mr. Dobbs." "You did everything you could to warn him." said the Fat Controller. "But like what Edward said, Peter sealed his own fate when he kept ignoring you, and your crew shouldn't have encouraged him to keep doing it." Stanley thought for a moment, he knew the Fat Controller was right. Three months later when Stanley's crew returned to the footplate, the Fat Controller spoke to them. "If you see people doing something they shouldn't, you should never encourage them to keep doing it!" He reminded sternly. "Encouraging them will only make the situation worse!" "Yes, sir." said the driver. "Understood, sir."
