The inflated beds hat proven a success, the girls found them rather comfortable.

Since there was still not enough room for sleeping all the girls, experiments were done with vertical inflated beds or columns.

These were found equally comfortable, provided they were filled with the right pressure to hold the girls snug and comfortable. A school nurse checked the correct pressure on each girl.
