I'm still keeping up with my lovey-dovey, sort of cheesy couple themes now. And here, we have my most favorite anime EVER. Samurai X a.k.a. Rurouni Kenshin.

I love all the episodes, I love the movie - but I love the OVA's even more - most especially, Trust and Betrayal.

That was just too awesome - the mood was darker, more serious, the comedy's gone (I liked the comedy in the original anime, but taking it out in the OVA was a good move in my opinion, makes you focus more on the more heart touching scenes...), and finally, the animation was super epic. I'll never forget Trust and Betrayal. I never get bored of it no matter how many times I watch it. I even memorized some of the lines there! (Hiko's quote before killing a bandit: "You won't live long enough to remember my name" - simply epic!) It's a good thing it hasn't been taken down in Youtube. Just watched it again last Saturday there.

And the drawing here. yeap. Another homage for my favorite anime. Off course, it still has the same elements as the past drawings I uploaded: some emotion, some drama, something, something...

I guess what I want to show in this drawing is Kenshin's struggle to end the war, just after Tomoe died. The snowy blizzard, the frozen background, his pose - I wanted him to look like he's suffering. And off course Tomoe's there, a ghostly memory, always behind Kenshin, comforting him with her purple scarf... So on and so forth...

And I guess uhm... This will be the last romantic couple art I'll be making. For now.
