Description

Young common moorhen (Gallinula chloropus). They are indeed VERY common where I live. I really enjoyed having the water lily as background.

They have large feet for a small bird.

There is a small family of moorhens on the duck pond I walk past everyday. They were born in the Spring and it was fun watching their progress through the year.
