Spotless - Speedpaint

Washing oneself of an identity, leaving no trace and no evidence behind, drowning in deception.

I found an older sketch of a cheetah drinking water in one of my pocket
sketchbooks and worked the idea into this. In fact, I did initially plan to
include the cheetah's spots, but for the balance of texture and areas of
busy detail, as well as the concept, I left them out. This piece was started
in May of 2018, but I hesitated for so long when it came to completing it,
as I was worried that I would have nothing new to work on. I like to work
on multiple drawings at once, alongside sketching and planning. I didn't
have any developed ideas that I wanted to work further on, and was a bit
art blocked. Seeing it go unfinished for a while as I eventually started to
pick up new ideas was something I did myself; I'm glad to finally have
returned to and finished this~

This cheetah washes away its spots amidst what it sees as danger, for
fear of being recognized. Mock orange flowers sprout as a reference to
deceit.
