Luigi Did Some More Digging by nintendomaximus on DeviantArt (original) (raw)

Luigi: Well, it's not my fault you used to be drawn as skinny as I am!

Do you remember CBS's "Saturday Supercade"? 'Cause I certainly don't, and it's obviously because it had gone on the air before I was even born. But I've been reading about it. And anybody who did see it more than likely knows that before he started saving the Mushroom Kingdom on a regular basis and having DiC Entertainment's writers send him, his brother, his love interest, and a squeaky imp who sounded more Brooklynese than he did, to stupid locations for no apparent reason every weekday, Mario was a regular on "Saturday Supercade". There, he chased Donkey Kong (or rather Cranky?) around the world, accompanied by his old girlfriend, Pauline. Actually, according to the Supercade, Pauline was Mario's niece, but if that's true, then does that mean she's Luigi's daughter? Oh, and by the way, since the show was produced by Ruby-Spears, that's something Mario's got in common with Heathcliff - switching from Ruby-Spears to DiC.
Anyway, here Luigi's wearing Mario's outfit from the Supercade, which matches his outfit from the official artwork for the arcade game. And seeing how Halloween is coming, maybe this is his costume. But in a nod to "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy", Mario's none too pleased, because Luigi apparently dug it up from his costume trunk.
