Tyrannosaurus rex: Trix Portrait by olofmoleman on DeviantArt (original) (raw)
Published: Nov 10, 2016
Description
A portrait of the new T. rex skeleton in Leiden, Netherlands. This specimen is nicknamed Trix after the former queen Beatrix. To date, this is the oldest T. rex individual with the animal having likely been over 30 years old. The skeleton is of the robust morph and thus likely female.
There are a number of pathologies on the face of the skull of Trix. The lower jaw shows teeth marks of other T. rex and there is a nasty bone infection on the snout.
