I just went out for a walk when I came up with an interesting idea of giving Dion a role to play in my fanfic AU, “Transformers: Animated: Shadows of Redemption”. For example, Dion was a social outcast and a dorky kid who was bullied and picked on by Sentinel in school before Dion grew into a young adult and he went to the Autobot Academy to try to fit in with the other Autobot cadets.

He became friends with Optimus and Elita-One and he would avoid Sentinel because he was still a bully and a jerk. Dion graduated from the Autobot Academy and was accepted into the Elite Guard and he respected and despised Sentinel Prime who was also part of the Elite Guard. Dion wanted to become an Autobot Commander, but he never got the chance because he was shot down by Megatron. Dion begged Sentinel to save his life, but Sentinel Prime didn’t save Dion’s life and he chose to be a coward and leave him to die. Sentinel Prime lied to the Autobot High Council that he tried to save Dion but he was forced to flee because of Megatron and Sentinel said that Dion died with honor when in actuality, Sentinel Prime abandoned Dion.

After Dion was abandoned by Sentinel Prime and was presumed dead by the Elite Guard, Megatron assumed that he killed Dion, but Eradicator found Dion’s half-dead body and took him to his spaceship where he repaired Dion and he decided to switch sides. Dion renounced the Autobots and joined the Maraudicons and became one of Eradicator’s minions and Dion joined Eradicator because he wanted revenge on Sentinel Prime for leaving him to die. Optimus Prime and Elita-One were sad when Dion was presumed dead and Sentinel Prime never told the truth that he left Dion to die because he was too scared to save him from Megatron.

In the Present, Sentinel Prime—who is now the King of Caminus—would meet Dion again and he would be shocked to discover that he survived and became a Maraudicon. Sentinel would feel ashamed and guilty that he left Dion to die and that he never told anyone that he left him to die in cowardice and Dion would try to get his revenge on King Sentinel Prime by doing everything in his power to ruin his life. Unlike Astraea who spared Sentinel’s life as an act of mercy, Dion won’t forgive Sentinel and he’ll try to destroy him.
