This photo definitely wows me, since there are some elements that make for a very lovely sunset shot.

The warm colors of the evening sky can be seen through the reflections that appear on the surface of Lake Michigan. The outlines of the distant waves are so clear that one would know that these waves would be coming to the shore. The wave in the foreground (behind the boulder) has already rolled in and crashed. As a result of the crash, the white bubbly foam can be seen across the center of the photo. So crisp clear, even in the darkening sky!

The small shells with their soft colors can be seen in the foreground. They look quite detailed. The top part of the smooth-looking boulder has some wet reflections on its uneven surface.

Expanding the bottom part of the photo to include more of those shells would help one to see what the beach really is like. This would also help balance out the photo from the top to the bottom.

This is definitely a very breathtaking scene. Door County is definitely one of the most beautiful places to go to enjoy the lake in its splendor. Even though I am from the Midwest and lived so close to the lake, I had never been to Door County.
