Homebrew lore:
Draconis Auxilia - Formed in the mid 42nd millenium after the events on the planet of Serium, military force under the direct command of the Adeptus Astartes from the Salamanders chapter.

The main formation recruits source are civilians and former Astra Militarum guardsmen from planets that became either uninhabitable during the fights, or the survivor population were without a chance to rebuild the thier colonies.
The second largest source of recruits are volunteers from the PDF forces of the Salamanders homeworld Nocturne.
Who in vast majority hold officer ranks in all the formation.

Draconis Auxilia is a true multicultural pot.
Being a mixture of cultures and populations from all over the Imperium, which only thanks to the intervening Adeptus Astartes had a chance to survive.
But even so, it is possible to distinguish a few dominant cultures in each of the three platoons that currently exist in the Draconis Auxilia
