Good girl by PatrickRorke on DeviantArt (original) (raw)

Hi patric.

This is a beautiful paintig! And the moment I saw one of your other paintings as a 'favourite' on someone elses web page, I immediatly recognised your distinct style. I am very surprised to see that you have a Deviant art account!

Anyway, someone mentioned that you should 'frame' your paintings. I don't know why, but everyone here obsessed with framing....I think framing limits the art work, and in a sence damamges the origional concept (I am talking here of my own preferences and art works), because the frame is not part of the process of the creation of the art work. Most people slap a frame on (usually because society deems it necessary) as an afterthought, and I think its disgusting. now if the frame has been attached with prior thought to the process....that is a totally different matter. Not that you would care about what a highschool graduate has to say about framing, I'm sure you have it figured out already.

I'm not sure if you would remember me, It was my joint initiative with tinus horn jr to curate the professionals exhibition at the 'festival of fame' last year at the national school of the arts (though it recieved numerous efforts of sabotage), I had never enjoyed curating an exhibition as much as I had that one.

I have had my account here for almost a year now, but a few months ago I decided to delete all my art works, and to cease to be active in this community. long story that. But I might return next year, If I have the time.

As always, its a pleasure to look at your paintings again,

yours truly,

Anja Seppä.
