Here's another case of me wanting to update a really old picture on one of my characters' artfight pages. In this case it's this one, which I still really like! But I wanted to see if I could do it better. I used the same method to get that gritty look as I did with the original, namely sketching it on a physical piece of paper, scanning it in with minimal cleanup, then coloring it digitally. And because it was on paper, I ran out of room for his feet. Whoops.

Overall I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, though I still think the pose on the original looks a bit more dynamic. I definitely think the coloring looks much better though!
