Description

Depicted is US Army WW2 M18 Hellcat tank destroyer. The scene is is supposed to reflect the region of Lorraine of France in Autumn 1944 during WW2. The US army fought a series of protracted battles of attrition against German forces as they approached the German border. Many of the region's rivers flooded, turning much of the region into a muddy quagmire, hampering mobile operations.
