This scene is adapted from the infamous EC comics story that was actually the prime subject of a Congressional hearing on comics in 1951 amid uproar over Dr. Felix Wertheim's Seduction of the Innocent. In it a little girl framed her low-life parents FOR MURDER, sent them to THE CHAIR so she could be happy adopted by good family. The Comics Code Authority was established policed for 20 years.
