Vincent van Gogh (March 30, 1853 in Groot-Zundert, Netherlands, and July 29, 1890 in Auvers-sur-Oise, France, at the age of 37) was a Dutch painter and draftsman. His work, full of naturalism, inspired by impressionism and pointillism, foreshadows fauvism and expressionism.
