The United States, the European Union, China, and Great Britain have agreed with the text of the first international declaration on artificial intelligence (AI), which states that this new technology poses a potentially “catastrophic” risk to humanity. At the conference in Great Britain, which occurred on November 1 and 2, 28 countries signed the so-called Bletchley Declaration, named after the meeting place of the officials. “There is the potential for serious, even catastrophic, harm, whether intentional or unintentional, arising from the most significant capabilities of these AI models,” the text of this document states.
