Fuyu
- Winter -
Well, the tayuu appearing in this picture was done as part of a calendar for my graphic design class. She's representing the season of winter. You may ask, why does her kimono have flowers on it if she's supposed to be winter? Well, short answer - the plum tree blooms in late January/early February. Its flowers are a symbol of winter and perseverance in Japan. As of now, the calendar is not finished, but I really like the image - so I made a new composition using the Japanese hiregana characters for winter. When the whole calendar is done, I'll probably post it here.
