U. quelchii (Inverted Drawing) by Quelchii on DeviantArt (original) (raw)

Traditional inverted drawing of the carnivorous plant Utricularia quelchii. This is my favourite plant, so I decided to draw it again to create a new avatar. My first avatar was an edited version of my U. quelchii drawing from 2007 by the way (fav.me/d17mswx ... my first deviation on dA 🫣 ). Now you also know why my dA name is "Quelchii". ;)
This method is very helpful if you want to draw something with a black background and many droplets (white points/reflections = black dots on paper). Usually I post the photo of the drawing and the inverted drawing side by side, but not this time. If you want to know how this looks on paper you just have to invert (negative) the colours of this picture in a program like Photoshop.

Reference picture of Utricularia quelchii {Auyan Tepui} by me.
