First piece for Mermay, featuring Ariel's daughter Melody

Okay, confession time - I'm one of those people who loved Ariel when I was a kid, but then I grew up and adopted a very different (read: unpopular) opinion of her That being said, I actually still really like Melody: I personally find her way more sympathetic than Ariel ever was, and her love of the sea reflected my own when I was her age So I chose her as my first subject for Mermay this year! More Mermay will follow, of course, not to worry
