Description

He's going to stand his ground. The artist spotted the Greater Puffinraptor (Deinonychus antirrhopus major) scouting for food with its son - its last remaining offspring early in the morning. The father began to construct a temporary bivouac (nest) out of palmetto palms, as common in the species, when it spotted him hurriedly taking pictures. The puffinraptor began to ruffle and puff up its feathers and eventually began to hiss at him before performing mock charges. Luckily he survived the encounter. The chick grew to become a full-grown individual under his father's protection. A watchful eye will notice the False Ratel (Gobiconodon ostromi) burrow under the bank, as well as a lizard, a moth, and several small caterpillars in the area.
