Description

This Song Dynasty woman is based on the Qixi Festival about the Goddess Weaver and Cowherder. In traditional times, women showed off their needlework in a competition. Whoever finished there’s first was said to be blessed by the Weaver and she could find a suitable husband showing off her needlework. I highly recommend googling Chinese embroidery. Women would also pray to the Weaver Goddess to improve their embroidery skills too.
