I have to say, this is quite a refreshing take on my most favorite Discworld character ^ ^ So, I wanted to give you a little critique!

Vision: Absolutely, all the way, five-stars. There's something magical about this, and mysterious. And yet, we can all guess at some form of a story (knowing Rincewind and his love of running away; he could be even said to just be taking a rest). Even more so that helps with the vision is your very creative title; this is, in a way, a shelter for Rincewind: viewers can imagine him taking a breather after running from...well, God knows what, haha. The Luggage really adds to this affect, and I appreciate the inclusion of my favorite travel accessory. Well done here.

Originality: Although there is not much going on, aspect-wise, I find it highly original how you portrayed Rincewind. He looks YOUNG here, which I find amazingly wonderful, and, again, refreshing. Although I do like him looking as if he is around his mid-thirties to early-forties, I see a lot of it. And I also see many picturing him as an old man (which I can never seem to accept, Rincewind will always be youtful in my eyes). So to see a picture with him having just a little facial hair and a youthful expression on his face makes me a very happy person. You actually stepped away from what others have done! I only dock you half a point here because there is not much else going on in the picture; although I do enjoy it, it still counts, I suppose.

Technique: This is where I was certainly blown away. I see little here that I could actually criticize. Usually, I am not fond of blurred backgrounds and all that sort of thing, but here, you've made it work. Usually, I am disappointed because artists usually do not make it work, but the lighting and your skills make it certainly succeed. It adds to the magical atmosphere I mentioned with the vision, certainly. And although Rincewind's pose is a tad classic (I suppose this could also take away that half-point from originality as well), there's something, well, seductive about it. I think it has to do with you showing his legs, which I absolutely adore, as others have said. You have really done a gorgeous job on his body, I am in happy awe. I also love how you made the lighting/shadows shield some of his face; we can see an expression, and it looks a little mischievous/seductive, but we cannot see it all. You definitely showed talent there, by 'masking' some of his features. What else I enjoy is the foliage and the greenery: the little details in the grass accentuate the mood so much, and I love how they stand out. The reds, blues and yellows of the wildflowers really captured my eye. And of course, the Luggage is done wonderfully, just how I pictured it.

Impact: It's different, it's beautifully done, and gives an air to a character that's quite unexpected, considering who Rincewind really is. This is sure to be one of my absolute favorite Discworld drawings ^ ^

Great job! I hope you keep up the amazing work, you're very talented!
