Sometimes even the simplest premise can leave the biggest impact. Considering this was one of the very last episodes of the show, you'd definitely expect Wander Over Yonder to make those last episodes before the big finale memorable. And this episode, believe it or not, teaches one of the most important lessons those in the wake of great tragedies can possibly learn: to never give up hope even in the darkest hour; even when all seems truly lost, hope can be the only thing that truly survives! When even someone as optimistic as Wander is brought to tears via Lord Dominator's relentless genocide (because that's what it is) of the entire galaxy, you KNOW that hope is on the verge of death!

If even a single flower can survive amongst some of the worst-scale destruction the universe has ever seen, then hope can truly be brought back to those that are suffering! And no, this episode isn't just back and forth with the flower repeatedly looking like it’s going to die making Wander cry; they actually do mix in some pretty damn good jokes to couple with how bleak their situation really is. Wander is actually a very smart fellow when he really gets down to business and knows this shit; I figure a hillbilly would know everything about proper plant care! Just watching Wander and Sylvia go through hell and back to keep this single yellow flower alive amidst a dying galaxy is surprisingly funny, and it really shows how much heart these two truly have in their efforts to stave back Dominator's destruction. And before you ask, no, I'm not going do a Nicholas Cage joke; that joke is overdone and needs to die!

I don't want to spoil the ending, but really, the person you should thank for the survival of "Little Planty" and quite possibly the entire galaxy is… Lord Dominator? For someone so incredibly evil, she has the most ADORABLE sneeze! Also, this episode teaches a bonus lesson: being sad doesn't mean you've given up hope; it is perfectly natural thing to be sad when you're among such devastation. Wander and Sylvia have been through the entire galaxy together: they've seen many strange and wonderful things in their galaxy for who knows how long, and I have a feeling that with hope in their hearts Dominator WILL be stopped! It does well to show you that the hero hasn't given up even in the darkest hour, and that no villain is wholly invincible when you get down to it (btw, I'm not going to review the series finale). I don’t know what I could possibly say about the perfect way to cap off such a wonderful show from Craig and Lauren that hadn't been already said.
